#2 is so on point! The object can be outshadowed by the wrong background easily resulting in the picture not being quite what you expected. It's always better to think about it an advance, but if you failed to do so there are ways to fix it, like through a background remover or a background changer or at least by blurring it to an extent.

Thanks Peachy. You might be facing difficulties photographing still life objects initially. It can get intricate in the beginning but I believe the points I have mentioned will solve your commonly faced problems.
